The Mick Sharp Band was formed by Mick because of his love of the Blues, R&B and early classic Rock n’ Roll. The Mick Sharp Band consists of guys who have the same idea of how to play the Blues. They are a versatile, high energy band that enjoys interacting with the crowd. Mick and the Band will make you get up and shake it. Enjoy the total experience both musically and visually. Mick Sharp, a talented guitarist and band leader, is a born showman and you can tell he loves to be on stage communicating with the audience. Born in Staten Island, NY and raised in South Florida, Mick first played the Country circuits in Nashville, TN. Then a move to Buffalo, NY, re-introduced Mick to the Blues. In 1990 Mick settled in St. Petersburg and began playing various clubs and jams with different musicians before deciding which artists would best fit his vision of the Blues. After a short hiatus following a move to Crystal River, FL, in 2003, Mick once again picked up his guitar and began playing the Blues. Today he continues to delight audiences with his own rendition of Blues Music, choosing various talented artists to accompany him. Once you have see his show, you will understand when he says “I love the flash”.
